Titan International, Inc. has announced an agreement to sell its Italtractor ITM business to USCO S.p.A., the Italian company behind the ITR brand.
The agreement was signed on September 21, 2026. The transaction is expected to be completed in January 2027, subject to the usual closing conditions and required regulatory approvals.
Until the deal is completed, ITM and Titan will continue their normal business operations.
ITM to Become Part of USCO
ITM is a well-known name in the undercarriage industry. The company supplies undercarriage components and complete undercarriage systems for construction, mining, agricultural and other heavy equipment.
USCO is also a long-established company in this market. Based in Modena, Italy, the group operates through the ITR brand and supplies undercarriage and repair parts to customers around the world.
According to the companies, bringing ITM and USCO together will create more opportunities to develop their product range, manufacturing capabilities and international distribution network.
The transaction is expected to give ITM access to the wider USCO organization while allowing USCO to further expand its position in the global undercarriage market.
What Does This Mean for the Aftermarket?
For equipment parts distributors and aftermarket buyers, the main questions will come after the transaction is completed.
Customers will naturally be watching for any changes in:
- Product availability
- Manufacturing locations
- Lead times
- Distribution channels
- Product range
- Customer service
- Aftermarket support
At this stage, there is no indication that customers should expect immediate changes. The transaction is still subject to regulatory approval and has not yet been completed.
Why We Are Watching This
Undercarriage parts are a small but critical part of heavy equipment.
Track rollers, carrier rollers, idlers, track chains, track shoes and other components directly affect machine uptime. For excavators, dozers and mining machines working long hours, parts availability can be just as important as the part itself.
That is why changes involving major undercarriage manufacturers are worth following.
The global market has also changed significantly in recent years. Customers have more choices between OEM and aftermarket parts, while distributors are looking for suppliers that can provide consistent quality, stable production and reliable delivery.
For aftermarket suppliers, manufacturing capability and long-term product support remain important.
What Happens Next?
The transaction is currently expected to close in January 2027, provided the required conditions and regulatory approvals are completed.
Until then, ITM and Titan will continue operating as usual.
We will keep an eye on further updates, particularly any changes to ITM's product range, manufacturing network and aftermarket distribution after the transaction is completed.
For customers working with excavator, bulldozer and mining equipment undercarriage parts, these are the areas that will be most relevant to watch.
