The track adjuster assembly is a tensioning device for the crawler undercarriage parts, which tightens the track chain to ensure that the chain tracks and wheels stay within the designed track, without skipping or derailing.
Misconceptions about the spring tensioning device:
1.The higher the compression of the spring, the better. Some equipment owners or distributors, in order to prevent tooth skipping, blindly increase the height of the spring without changing the number of coils, resulting in increased compression. When the material exceeds the yield strength, it is prone to fracture. Just because it doesn't break immediately after being compressed does not mean it is fine.
2.In pursuit of cheapness, springs with low density and high height are used, resulting in a large compression capacity but without a limiting sleeve. This can lead to the screw causing damage to the guide wheel, insufficient guidance of the compressed spring, and eventual breakage.
3.To save money, the number of coils is reduced and the spring wire diameter is reduced. Tooth skipping is usually expected in such cases.
